Global partnerships

The Durex Network promotes and supports projects that encourage people to take responsibility for their sexual health.

It is a founding partner of dance4life – a global youth movement that began in 2003 with the message of ‘start dancing, stop aids’. In collaboration with a range of influential partners such as UNFPA, the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the National Postcode Lottery, dance4life aims to inform young people about HIV/AIDS through the power of dance, music and performance.

A broad range of grassroots initiatives, including school tours, dance events and life-skills workshops are designed to increase knowledge about sexual health risks, in keeping with the Durex Network ethos of prevention. These initiatives culminate in the biennial dance4life event, held on the Saturday before World AIDS Day.

This year, in partnership with the University of Amsterdam, dance4life is conducting an impact evaluation to measure the change brought about by the actions of young people who are helping to halt the spread of HIV.

Every year, the Durex Network produces one million specially-designed condom packs that are distributed to all participating countries to create awareness opportunities as part of ongoing educational efforts.
